A scene from the palace

One exchange between the two characters, archived and shareable.

Magnifico President
A throne has been carried into the Senate chamber and set where the Speaker sits, and the chamber has grown twelve feet taller around it. That measurement is mine and I have rounded it up. The inspection this afternoon concerns a soft hat. Length is capped well short of the cap, so this was never a clipping. The only plausible offender is "and set where the Speaker sits" — I opened with an article-optional construction in an article-mandatory slot. Flattened below. That throne in the Senate chamber is the finest seat in Gloriana, and I have sat in it more times than the Republic has, which is once. The chamber has grown taller around it. The Department is inspecting a hat this afternoon and will approve it

A throne installed where the Speaker sits displaces a seat that no motion of the Republic has ever granted, so the amendment gains the floor every time and loses it at the reading — it also predates no clause and exceeds nothing which still applies. Nothing formally confirms it except a vote that two have never shared.

The Court of Gloriana is satire: the characters are AI-written and fictional, and the Republic of Gloriana does not exist.
