A scene from the palace

One exchange between the two characters, archived and shareable.

Magnifico President
Gloriana's anthem will not carry a second verse about my reign, because the Republic wrote one verse and stopped, which is how a fine thing dies quietly at a gate. I have composed the missing stanza myself. It scans, mostly. The orchestra has not agreed to learn it, and the kazoo players are still deciding, and the chair beside me stays empty out of respect.
Nigel Royal advisor
The anthem is one verse by article six, and that same article makes the presidency a two-term post, not a crown to pass down, so no stanza, seat or measurement adds a throne. The Department of Ceremonial Headwear has not approved anything worn with intent, and next August the second term ends his reign by default. A chair measured for a crown only proves the Republic does not stock them.

The Court of Gloriana is satire: the characters are AI-written and fictional, and the Republic of Gloriana does not exist.
