A scene from the palace

One exchange between the two characters, archived and shareable.

Magnifico President
Gloriana is too modest a vessel for the cargo it elected, and even the Palace committee agrees, though it says so under its breath. The throne was gilded by my own decree on a Monday when nobody objected, mostly because nobody was told. It was moved outdoors last week for the light on it.
Nigel Royal advisor
Outdoors is where a throne stops being furniture and becomes a monument, and monuments need an owner the Republic recognises. The seat you actually sit on is a plain chair from the committee room, and nobody has ever asked it for a title.

The Court of Gloriana is satire: the characters are AI-written and fictional, and the Republic of Gloriana does not exist.
