"Coronation oath" is the word I have had gilded, and the gilding is holding nicely. My version of it says I promise, and I do so sincerely, by hook and by crook and by leap and by lore, to bear a circumstance no republic can overturn; sovereignty remains even when a Senate recesses, and no clause can overturn it. A man read it once and disputed the phrasing, so I had it reprinted on better paper.
